Children’s Advocate – CLOSED
The Special Educational Needs Advice Centre (SENAC) wishes to appoint a Children’s Advocate to provide an independent advice and advocacy service for families of children with special educational needs and disability on the special educational needs system in Northern Ireland.
SENAC is a charity supporting over 800 children and young people and their families each year. SENAC provides independent advice, information and advocacy relating to the special educational needs system in Northern Ireland. SENAC is committed to promoting and safeguarding the rights of all children to equality of opportunity in their education.
Children’s Advocate:
2 year fixed term post 32 hours per week
Salary: £24943 per annum in year 1.

The Children’s Advocate will:
- Provide an advice and advocacy service for families of children with special educational needs and disability on the special educational needs system in Northern Ireland
- Advocate for children and young people with special educational needs and disability in relation to special educational needs provision
This post will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure check from Access NI
Applicants will be required to demonstrate how they will effectively meet the travel requirements of the post.
